HISTORY
- In 1940, through the foundation of Laboratories Sintyal, the Gold family initiated activities in the pharmaceutical field in Argentina.
- As time went by, this company expanded to include other companies within the life science sector (pharmaceutical, veterinary, agrochemicals), some of which were in different geographical areas.
- he first commercial office in Spain was set up by Silvia Gold & Hugo Sigman in 1977 in Barcelona. In a short time, new offices were opened in Madrid (Spain),Lugano(Switzerland), Hong Kong (China), Budapest (Hungary) and factories were established in Alcala de Henares (Spain), and Saronno (Italy). Over the years, Chemo has developed a leading position in the APIs market.
- In 1995, Liconsa (Guadalajara, Spain) was set up and began activities in the finished product field. Chemo's products are specialized in slow release, osmotic and Dry Powder Inhalers formulations. In 2006, Leon Farma (Leon, Spain), started activities in the field of the hormone therapy.
- By 2006, Chemo begins an internationalization process in the chemical industry, by setting up factories in Asia and South America: with the creation of Gold Pharma (China) and as a stake holder in local companies like Nexchem (China), Nosch (India) and Maprimed (Argentina).
- In addition to each factory R&D department, in 2006 an exclusive centre dedicated to Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient Research and development, start activities in Novara, Italy.
- Chemo's world wide presence has been possible with the help of more than ten Joint Ventures that have been taking place over the last years.
- Chemo Group currently has approximately 2.800 employees within the commercial offices and manufacture centres.
